Airfield Presentation:
Remetea Airfield is located outside the village of Remetea, Harghita County, to the north of the village.
Access to the field is from DE 581, Hegyesemberfő Street. The airfield is located 5 km from the center of Remetea.
The airfield coordinates in the WGS 84 system are: 46°49’09” north latitude and 025°24’42” east longitude. The airfield elevation is 765.84 meters (2513 feet).
The runway is 1100 m long, 30 m wide, and made of concrete. Extending from the runway to the west is Taxiway Alfa, which is 500 m long.
Types of flights that can be performed at this airport:
Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flights, based on initial scheduling, at least 24 hours before the flight.
The runway can be used by smaller private planes, as well as for passenger transport with aircraft seating 30 – 50 passengers (e.g., ATR 42 aircraft).
Future Plans:
In the near future, infrastructure investment works will be carried out, including the construction of a hangar, a passenger terminal, and other facilities necessary for aircraft operations.
